Sussex Stakes Betting Guide 2012 - Frankel Storms To Win 2011 Race
The Sussex Stakes is a Group 1 race for three year olds and above. It is run over a distance of 1 mile and is now known as the feature race of the whole of Glorious Goodwood so we are expecting another top field to assemble in 2011. Aidan O'Brien has a great record in the race recently with wins for the likes of Rip Van Winkle and Henrythenavigator and he will no doubt have a nice type for this one again this season.
With the race being run over the mile course at Goodwood we are sure to see some of the star names of the season. At the moment all the attention is on Canford Cliffs who is looking to add the Sussex Stakes for the second year-in-a-row and he looks in great form based on his Royal Ascot win. He may well have a tough task on his hands though as he could take on the brilliant Frankel who was the scintillating winner of the 2000 Guineas back in May.
