Goodwood Races Saturday 3rd August
One of the top races of the whole five days is on final day of the Glorious Goodwood Festival with the Nassau Stakes run over 1 mile 2 furlongs and is a Group 1 and the Nassau Stakes odds comparisons are available right here. In addition there is the Stewards Cup which is one of the best handicaps of the year run over six furlongs for three year olds and over.
The big race on the final day in 2007 was won by the Ballydoyle stable when 2/1 favourite Peeping Fawn came home in good style in the Group 1 Nassau Stakes. Other day 5 highlights included Luca Cumani gaining his second winner in the opener with Jamie Spencer on board and Mark Johnston getting a third winner at the meeting when Dubai Touch won the Bluesquare Thoroughbred Stakes. James Fanshawe and Jamie Spencer won the Stewards Cup on 6/1 favourite Zidane and gave the crowd a nice little victory over the bookies.
