Goodwood Stewards Cup 2011 - Hoof It Wins Off Top Weight
The Stewards Cup is one of the leading sprint handicap races in Europe, and is one of the main highlights of the Glorious Goodwood festival. It is a flat race for thoroughbreds aged three years or above, run over 6 furlongs and is always an exciting race on the final day of the Festival.
It is already shaping up to be another cracker in 2011 with another field of top class runners set to take their chance. The likes of Mac Power and Hoof It could run at Goodwood and both look like live contenders for the big race as the latest betting shows.

As always a very competitive handicap with 26 taking their chance and this one was no easier with the bookies going 8/1 the field. Markab was up there all the way and the group on the stand side was a long way behind at halfway and Genki fired home to win from Evens and Odds.
