The Summer Vase Stakes is the first race on day 3 of the 2010 Glorious Goodwood meeting and should get the days racing off to a flying start. The race itself is for three year olds and is ran over just over a mile so we could well see some of the better horses of that age take their places in the field. We saw the impressive Roman Republic take the win last year for Mark Johnston and we are hoping for another exciting renewal in 2010.

London Stripe goes for Sir Michael Stoute and it would be no surprise to see him go off as favourite today, he has had a good couple of runs recently and should go well at Goodwood.

Roman Republic was the first to show on the home straight with the favourite Mirrored hot on his heels. Roman Republic stayed really well and was able to hold off the favourite along with the late charge from Sopranist and River Captain.
