Day three is Goodwood ladies day and this is a very special race day on the Sussex grounds with the Goodwood Cup a two mile Group 2 and also the Audi Stakes a 5 furlong sprint Group 3 for three year olds and over. These are two very competitive races and you should check out our odds comparison tables to enable you to get the best prices for all the top Glorious Goodwood races.

Glorious Goodwood Day ThreeThis year's Goodwood Cup sees the eagerly awaited seasonal reappearance of the Aiden O'Brien trained Champion Stayer, Yeats, who will be a hot favourite for this year's race. His stablemate, Honolulu may have a great chance of being the 2nd horse home. In the Audi Stakes, Ladies Day favourite, Frankie Dettori has a great chance on Dandy Man.

On the third day last year on day 3 Sir Michael Stoute and Ryan Moore won the opener, the Group 3 Lily Langtrey Fillies Stakes with joint favourite HI Calypso. Ryan Moore went to the top of the Jockey’s chart when he won the next on Moorhouse Lad at 10/1 on behalf of Trainer Brian Smart. The eagerly awaited Goodwood Cup was next to be contested and once again it was the Stoute/Moore partnership that prevailed in this important Group 2. Their horse Allegretto won at 8/1 and she became the first filly since 1958 to win the race. Sadly she will not be amking the line up this year. The day was fast becoming the Ryan Moore show but he had no ride in the next, the Alphameric Vase and the race was won by the 11/2 favourite Pipedreamer, trained by John Gosden and ridden by Martin Dwyer. The break seemed to do Ryan good as he came back in the very next race and promptly won that too. This time he was riding Docofthebay for Jamie Osborne. Seb Sanders won the European Breeders Fillies race on 33/1 outsider, Celtic Slipper who touched off favourite Badalona, much to the chagrin of the crowd. Final race of the day the Audi Q7 Cup Stakes saw Dandy Nicholls get his second winner of the meeting with Continent, ridden by Paul Hannagan.
