Summer Horse Racing Fixtures
The Summer is the high point of the flat season with some of the very best horse racing meetings and events. Some of the key dates for your diary are, the Epsom Derby Festival, Royal Ascot, the 2000 and 1000 Guineas and the St Ledger.
Royal Ascot Races - June
One of the most prestigious race meetings of year takes place at the world famous Royal Ascot festival of racing. The numbers of high quality races almost takes centre stage to fashion and fillies are often very well presented. Tickets for the Royal Ascot Races are very sought after and if you are looking to attend this meeting our advice is to book early.
Epsom Derby - June
The richest flat race of the British racing season is the Epsom Derby, which is ran each year early in June. The Oaks and Derby meeting is very similar to Glorious Goodwood and Royal Ascot in that fashion plays a large part. Epsom Derby betting tends to be available all year round with most bookmakers as the ante-post market attracts a huge deal of attention.
Doncaster St Leger - September
The St Leger is a Group 1 flat horse race run over a distance of 1 mile 6 furlongs at Doncaster Racecourse in September. It is the oldest of the five English Classics and is the last one of these in the season.
