Glorious Goodwood Totesport Mile Always run on the Friday The £150,000 totesport Mile, is a race which has attracted some superb entries. First run in 1987, the competitive mile handicap for three-year-olds and upwards is the richest contest of its type in the racing calendar.

Mark Johnston won the race last year with Laa Rayb as a 25/1 shot so this is a race that can throw up a surprise or two for punters to watch. It will be a race featuring some of the best one mile horses around making it one of the highlights of Glorious Goodwood. At the moment the likes of Sea Lord and St Moritz at the top of the betting and should go well, another potential runner is Critical Moment who should take his chance for Barry Hills and will come in for some good each/way money in the build up.

The feature race of the day lived up to expectations as Laa Rayb jumoed out of the pack with two furlongs left and he never looked back to claim the win at 25/1. Spectait ran on well to claim 2nd ahead of Docofthebay and Webbow.
