Goodwood Totesport Mile
Always run on the Friday The £150,000 totesport Mile, is a race which has attracted some superb entries. First run in 1987, the competitive mile handicap for three-year-olds and upwards is the richest contest of its type in the racing calendar.
Some of the top contenders in 2009 are Cloudy Start who has been running well this season and Spectait who is a past winner of the race.

The feature race of the day lived up to expectations as Laa Rayb jumoed out of the pack with two furlongs left and he never looked back to claim the win at 25/1. Spectait ran on well to claim 2nd ahead of Docofthebay and Webbow.
