Richmond Stakes Betting
The Richmond Stakes is a Group Two race over 6 furlong’s for two year old thouroughbred colts and geldings. It was first run in 1877 and is named after the Duke of Richmond, who’s family were the racing pioneers of Goodwood. Contenders in 2009 include two time winner Dick Turpin who looks a good prospect and Buzzword who also won last time out.

Richard Hughes asked the question of Dick Turpin with a couple of furlongs left and he simply bounded away from the field to win by a comfortable margin. Buzzword was a way 2nd but he did finish really well ahead of Stargaze but none were the match for the winner.
